Welcome to Nepal

I’ve included a photo of the mountains from the airplane. I did see Mt. Everest and the Himalayan Mountains from a lookout point called Nagarkot. We had to leave early in the morning before the thick fog rose to block the view of the mountains. I thought traffic was bad in Manila. I was wrong. Try traveling on a road with cars, buses, pedestrians, motorcycles, bikes, and animals….but that’s not all. In the morning there is fog, so you can barely see ahead of you. To make the experience more fun, drivers sometimes like to drive in the middle of the road and ignore the lanes. Honking becomes a necessity. It allows vehicles/people/animals to know where you are on the road. The risk was entirely worth it. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and these images do not do it justice. It's not possible to take a photo of Mt. Everest by itself because it is so far away, so you'll have to trust me that it's included in these images. If you look at the video, you actually can see two mountain ranges. The smaller one is closer to you. Behind the camera is actually another mountain range. In between is the Kathmandu Valley. When the Himalayas are in your backyard, you begin to refer to smaller mountains as "hills". The lookout point was on a hill.
